The story of this project stretches from the first meetings with the clients, a young couple with a baby in a carrier, to the final photoshoot in which the same boy runs freely through the space he now calls his own. It is this authenticity that defined the process of designing the interior of the apartment for a young family: a space that does not dominate life, but accompanies it, supports it and naturally fits into it.
The floor plan is clearly divided into two main zones — living and sleeping — connected by an entrance area that functions as a spatial filter between the public and private parts of the apartment. This transition point allows for a sense of security and intimacy without closing off the space. The living area develops around a south-facing loggia that becomes a natural extension of the interior, bringing together the living room, dining room and kitchen into a bright and fluid whole.
In the night zone, the bedroom is conceived as an intimate capsule, and one of the key elements is the washbasin integrated into the chest of drawers. This solution is not only aesthetically strong, but also functional — it reflects the modern lifestyle and habits of the user. By designing this detail as an integral part of the room, the boundary between the rest area and the daily routine is erased.
A children's room is designed from the child's perspective, not as a typical room, but as a small world with clearly defined zones for sleeping, playing, exploring and socializing. It is a space that grows with its user, adapting to their changes and needs.
What further defines this project is the fact that it was realized in the context of a new building, during the rough construction phase. In parallel, interior elements were defined — from concrete openings to precise carpentry solutions.
The key to success was coordination, which turned every technical challenge into a design opportunity. One such moment, the absence of reinforcement in the KNAUF wall, resulted in a characteristic solution — a free-standing sink on sculptural supports in the shape of a sphere and a prism. What started as a mistake has become a recognizable sign of the interior.
