At the intersection of Radnička and Vukovarska streets, in the dynamic business zone of Zagreb, is the Knebu Wine Store - an elegant wine store that combines the world of nature and contemporary design in a unique space dedicated to the culture of wine. The DWG Studio team conceptually and design-wise created an interior that symbolically conveys the philosophy of Knebu wine and vineyards located at a high altitude in Tomislavgrad.

The interior is inspired by the organic forms of nature, where horizontal walnut wood slats wrap around the space, creating a fluid and pleasant atmosphere. The space is divided into two parts: a sales and presentation area, with a dominant peninsula as a counter for interaction between staff and guests, and a more intimate tasting area for groups. The tasting area can be closed off with sliding curtains, providing control over privacy and creating a pleasant, warm atmosphere for wine tasting.

The prominent element is a metal panel structure on the wall that serves as a rack for wine bottles. The panel is made in a minimalistic, geometric rhythm, where the wine bottles become the main visual focus, introducing a contrast to the warm wooden materials and the glass facade of the space.

Knebu Wine Store simultaneously evokes a visual, tactile and emotional experience of wine. In addition to the functionality of the retail space, it exudes the idea of coexistence between man and nature, which is in line with the philosophy of Knebu wine — grapes ripening at 900 meters above sea level, in a unique location that brings mineral and spicy notes. The interior design itself as an architectural solution reflects this high-altitude dynamic of the vineyards, their upward growth and the concept of ‘towards the sky’ which is also the inspiration for the brand name.

The space is warm and earthy, with a clear emphasis on natural tones and materials, which immediately conveys a sense of welcome and connection to nature to the visitor, despite the urban environment. Knebu Wine Store is not only a place to buy, but also a place to experience wine through presentations and free tastings for all visitors.
